Background
We recently worked on a project in Preston, which involved upgrading an old, polycarbonate lean-to roof with minimal pitch, low ceiling height, and almost no insulation to a fully insulated SupaLite aluminium roof featuring an internal vaulted plastered ceiling with LED lighting, to create a striking new space with added headroom.

Project Overview
Our customer, tired of their outdated polycarbonate roof that lacked insulation, ceiling height, and style, started searching online for the perfect solution. That’s when they found us and the SupaLite aluminium roof.
After browsing through our glowing reviews and high ratings, they decided to request a quote and ask for advice. We suggested replacing their polycarbonate lean-to roof with a fully insulated SupaLite aluminium roof structure, featuring an internal vaulted plastered ceiling.
Thrilled with the idea of transforming their conservatory into a stylish and comfortable space, they decided to proceed with the project.
Before & After
We got rid of the old polycarbonate roof by recycling it. The basic ring beam height was raised to match the house soffit height, creating a level platform for the new roof. Then, we installed the SupaLite aluminium roof (with 0.15 u-value insulation, to meet the latest Building Regulations).
Next, we added exterior-grade OSB boards, breathable water protection roofing felt, tanalised battens, and Extralight Tiles with a real stone chip finish. Inside, we used insulated plasterboards and plastered the ceiling, adding LED lighting for a stunning new room with extra headroom.
