That means in the unlikely event that we stopped trading, you can rest assured that your roof installation is still covered. Just one of the many ways we go above and beyond for our customers.

Who are Installsure?

Installsure provide insurance backed guarantees (IBGs) to businesses in the window, roofing and home improvements trade. Installsure is directly monitored and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). That means businesses and homeowners can rest assured that they are covered by a reputable and trustworthy insurance company.

Installsure don’t just work with any business. We had to undergo a thorough vetting process before we joined Installsure. That includes looking at our financial records, previous claims and workmanship. Installsure felt confident to offer cover to us.

What is an insurance backed guarantee?

An insurance backed guarantee (or IBG) is an additional insurance policy we can now offer our customers. In short, it means that if Lightweight Roofing Solutions ever stopped trading and you had an issue with your roof, you could claim the cost of repairs through your IBG. You can find out more about an IBG in this homeowners leaflet.

An IBG only comes into effect once the company has dissolved or ceased trading. If the company is still trading, you would have to claim through the written cover provided by them instead.

How does this affect me?

In the unlikely event that there is an issue with the roof we have installed, you would first need to come to us. If the issue is covered by your written cover, we would fix it. However, if we had ceased trading, you would need to claim through Installsure. To make a claim, just visit the claims page on their website.

Before starting any claim, check your policy to make sure you’re covered. Unfortunately this policy does not apply to previous customers.
